A couple of pics for motivation

Personal Precautionary Gear

I'm sure you both are aware of where we are going and what we might run into.
Here's a list of things to keep in mind while packing.

Clothes:
Wool ski cap or equiv...
Wool Socks or equiv...
Outer shell
Inner fleece type lining
Long Under wear
Gloves
Towel

Fishing/Hiking:
Small backpack
Some type of canteen
Sturdy knife (A fixed blade is recommended but decent folder will work)
Small personal first aid kit
Fire starting device (I'd recommend a Firesteel or a Mag Block)

My next post will about camp equipment in general.

Campgrounds

I've whittled it down to a couple of different locations.
Mosca Campground NE of Taylor reservoir.
or
Gold Greek Campground South of Taylor reservoir.
Both are dependent on the weather so we'll definitely have to decide right before we go or on the way.

As a fall back plan if the roads are too muddy, then we'll pick a place along Taylor creek off of the paved road.

Pre-Planning

I've decided to Blog this so we can have an easy place of reference for our camp trip.

So far here is the couple of ideas we've talked about.
1. Try and go half way between Denver and Cortez, that seems to be the Gunnison area.
2. Hiking and Fishing close by, preferably with in walking distance.

Things to do:
Menu Planning... I'll take care of this.
Gear Review, you both need to identify what you'll bring and what you need to buy.
Settle on a specific Campground and maybe a backup just in case.
More to come I'm sure...
